These works explore the interaction of painted images and woven structures. How do they interrupt, disrupt, weave and unweave together? Imagery is often drawn from observations of birds and birdsong.
These works developed over several years as I responded to the vast skies, hardy and fragile native plants, and threats of wildfire to the northern New Mexico land where I live.
The Archive?contains work from previous series: ?Fences, High Desert Life, New Mexico Skies, and work from a series I developed for a solo exhibit in Atlanta in 2018, ?My Real Name is Mary.?
